2021 J.D. HURLEY CHARDONNAY
Tasting notes
This Chardonnay greets you with dynamic aromas of bright green apple on the nose, that gives way to hints of grapefruit and a touch of pear. With a solid acidic middle and a fresh lingering finish it will pair quite nicely with seafood and chicken dishes. Pair with an aged cheddar for an easy appetizer.

Michael Griva planted this vineyard located in the Arroyo Seco appellation, near the Santa Lucia Highlands. Three things that make Arroyo Seco appellation unique; the wind in the afternoon that causes vibration in the grapevine canopy, resulting in thicker skins, which enhances aromatic properties in the grapes, the marine environment making for cooler nights and mornings, along with the rockiness of the soil which enhances minerality.
Grapes are hand harvested. Juice is pressed, settled for one day, then racked. Fermented in stainless steel tank. 16 day fermentation @ 62 degrees Fahrenheit.
